So, Devon Freewheelers is a Motor bike base charity (hence – ‘Riding for life’), with all the emphasis on ‘BIKES’. So why, in heavens name, like other charities have we not had a (recent) charity Ride-out for other likeminded bikers? WELL NOW WE HAVE!

So with everything ordered and delivered we were set for a great day and we weren’t disappointed. The show organisers have managed to pull off probably the best show the town has seen in decades. It just all worked and there was something for virtually everyone. The crowds came in their droves and the entertainment was both breathtaking and awe inspiring with a variety to match.
A new fleet vehicle is the latest addition to the Bloodbike armoury of tools in the form of a fully functional ambulance which has been decommissioned from an emergency response vehicle and adapted and restored to operate as a first aid medical facility, to be used as a support vehicle when Freewheeler volunteer first aiders offer their services to cover community social events.
It was a chilly start to the day but the solar rays beamed down to bathe the area and offer an optimistically fine Autumn day. A day to launder away the fast approaching winter grime of the past weeks, engrained into beloved 4 wheeled autos!!
The Yer Tiz Motorcycle Rally is the brainchild of Rich Long and was set up in 2010 for the first event to run in 2011. The aim was to make new friends, catch up with old ones, and have a great time with any profits made being donated to biker related organisations. In total, more than £10,000 has been raised for the groups.
