Dan is the founder of Devon Freewheelers since the creation of the charity he has worn many hats to ensure the charity has moved forward and evolved with the needs. Dan devotes his time to the charity and somehow finds time to add articles to the site.
Devon Freewheelers launched a new service to the people of Dorset in 2016 by transporting critical care blood for transfusion to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. The project has been a huge success.

The much anticipated Volunteer Inn ride out for the Devon Freewheelers volunteers takes place this weekend; with an urgent call for all hands to support this fantastic event. This Sunday, August 21st 2011, the meeting point for initial registration is the Volunteer Inn, 177 High Street, Honiton (SAT NAV EX14 1LQ); not that it'll be hard to find, follow A30 to Honiton, then signs for town centre (Honiton is primarily one street folks - and the 'Volly' is right next door to the Police Station!)
A bitterly hectic day in the Devon Freewheelers office was instantly sweetened today when the Finance Director of the Freelance Coach Drivers Team Limited, Charlie Haggerty; walked into the DFW office with a £1,000 presentation cheque and a big smile on his face.
The bikers of the Volunteer Inn, Honiton; who regularly organise ride outs to raise funds for local charity’s have announced they have chosen the Devon Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Services as their next beneficiary.
A very busy night was had by all last night with four riders all out all at the same time. Several urgent jobs came in one after the other and everyone was thankfully on the other end of their phones all ready for deployment. Andy in North Devon had a nice run into RD&E for a collection and then back out to North Devon District Hospitals in Barnstaple.
