Following our very-well-attended meeting on Wednesday, 12th January, the topic of an official presence in Cornwall was once again brought to the table by Pete Morley-Payne, Vice-Chair for the Cornish operation. It was decided following an excellent turn-out of new members from the county that something should be done to continue the drive southwards.

An idea was put forward to obtain cornwallbloodbikes.org and mask the homepage over the Devon Freewheelers site with all the options available to the Cornwall site.

This was immediately carried out by our webmaster when one of the new members noticed someone had registered a .co.uk version of the same name. Further investigations have brought an amazing revelation to the forefront where an ambulance company called Lifeline Medics have decided they want to offer the service to Cornwall also.

Lifeline had contacted Devon Freewheelers EVS on Christmas Day, and offered us the use of a frontline ambulance to continue our service in the awful weather conditions we were experiencing during the Christmas period.

A meeting is to take place later next week with the new-found venture to assist them in any way possible to offer a full service to the counties of Devon & Cornwall. We urge all our Cornwall members to keep a close eye for further developments which will appear here as they happen!

Pete Morley-Payne is heading up the venture on our behalf and is keen for all Cornish volunteers to attend. Further details are to be released by Pete in the very near future. Exciting stuff!
