The Rotary Club of Credition is hosting a Jazz & Swing evening to raise funds for Devon Freewheelers and also other local projects. Please see the full detail and support this event.

The Rotary Club of Crediton is presenting a Vintage Acoustic Jazz & Swing evening with Tom “Spats” Langham and his group, Hot Fingers (www.hotfingers.co.uk ).

Tom is an internationally acclaimed musician and enjoys sharing his knowledge of music with the audience.

The evening will take place on Saturday April 26th 2014 at Sandford Village Hall at 7:00pm for 7:30pm

A licensed bar will be available throughout the evening and all proceeds will be shared between two charities:-

Devon Freewheelers:

The voluntary group of motorcyclists who transport blood, drugs and human tissues for transplant and other medical requirements between hospitals and blood transfusion banks on an out of hours basis from 17:00hrs in the evening and 07:00hrs in the morning. www.bloodbikes.org

The Rotary Club of Crediton’s Starfish Literacy Project:

Do you know that between 15 and 20% of young people leave school at sixteen functionally illiterate? Put another way; one in five of our young people are not adequately equipped to face the modern world and therefore are seriously hindered from being successful in it.

The Rotary Club of Crediton’s Starfish Literacy Project, funds one to one reading sessions for local Primary School pupils in need of help to reach the accepted level of literacy for their age.
