A huge Thank you for your support go's out to a Sidmouth based dancing group 'Dancing for Charity' who each week put on there dancing shoes so they can raise money for a chosen charity. Devon Freewheeler Kevin Lee gratefully collected the cheque for £500 to help us keep the bikes out on the roads.

The dancing group which is organised by John and Sonia Davies has up to now raised in excess of £9,000 which has been distributed to seventeen local charities. The group meet on Wednesday evenings in the Conservative Club lounge/ballroom.

They teach Ballroom, Latin and Sequence, from 7pm for beginners 8pm for improver's, followed by social dancing. Private lessons for those who wish to have one to one tuition or wish to learn specific dances are also available. A charge of £2.50 per person is made for the Wednesday evenings for anyone who would like to go along. All the money is put into a pot and is then donated to a selected charity.

If you would like more information please contact John or Sonia on 01395 577122. The other charities that have benefited from this amazing group are:

Sidmouth Hospiscare, Sidmouth Voluntary Services, Devon Air Ambulance Trust, Sid Valley Practice Equipment Fund, Living With Cancer, Kennaway House Restoration Fund, Sidmouth Victoria Hospital Comforts Fund, Sidmouth Stroke Club, Sid Vale Carnival Club, Sidmouth Carnival Association, Sidmouth Lifeboat, Stowford Community Centre Association, Macmillan Cancer Support, Sidmouth Hot Cross Bun Fund, Armed Forces Tribute Fund, Sidmouth Primary School Mini Bus Campaign and now the Devon Freewheelers.
