He set himself a challenge along with a group of other cyclists all raising money for different charities to complete a 330 mile cycle ride from London to Lands End. This is a race against your own mind and body taking you through some of the greatest countryside our country has to offer.
However the roads are challenging, hills are around every corner and you know that it isn't going to be until you reach Dartmoor that your going to be put to the ultimate test. This is the section which has the highest point and steepest climbs, reaching almost 1500ft above sea level.
What's more is it's going to be in the early hours of the morning when your body is drained. Following months of intensive training Lewis who works for Fields of Sidmouth set off from London with only his pack of cyclists and the first check point to look forward to.
Two members of Devon Freewheelers met up with Lewis at one of the scheduled stops to give some support and encouragement. A much needed boost half way through the event.
Lewis managed to complete the ride in under 24 hours, with just 10 mins to spare. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Lewis for all of his efforts and congratulate him on completing his ride.
