Fitness fanatic Matt Bond of Matt Bond Signworks embarks on Climb South West's 100k endurance challenge for Devon Freewheelers.  Matt has turned his passion for running into a fundraising exercise whilst satisfying a personal ambition to beat this massive challenge.  Find out more from Matt himself....

Hi, my name is Matt Bond and I am going to be taking on the gruelling Jurassic Coast 100km event this year, organised by Climb South West.

We start in Weymouth at 9pm and follow the famous Jurassic Coast path for 100km, finally ending up in Exmouth. There are some check points along the way but most of the route will be down to our own navigation (a lot of this will be in complete darkness throughout the night. Head torch will be worn!).

I aim to run as much of it as I can and walk the rest. There is a 24 hour time limit but I hope to do it in a time well under this. Conditions are extremely tough at times as the terrain is so varied. We will also be carrying our essential gear.

I am doing this event to raise as much money as I can for The Devon Freewheelers. Training is going well so far but running my own business, Matt Bond Signworks based in Exmouth, and having a young family means training has to fit around them!

Please donate whatever you can via my Virgin Money Giving Page to a really worthwhile cause. These people are real unsung heroes and you never know when you might need them...
