The final BMAD bike night at Paignton was very well attended with plenty of visitors. Devon Freewheelers managed to get 6 marked bikes to the event over the course of the evening with riders coming from all over the county, though inevitably a couple of our bikes and riders had to shoot off to carry out jobs.

The event was supported with live music on the stage and our bikes right alongside. BMAD have been great supporters of Devon Freewheelers over the years and this year has been no exception. Over the course of the year in total they managed to raise for good causes a total of £31,000 through entry fees.

Which was then divided up between the good causes, this year they included Devon Air Ambulance, St Johns, Devon Freewheelers and Torbay Young Carers. We received a final cheque of £2500 which will go to support our fleet of bikes, with the money benefiting the community directly through the work we do.

Next year we shall be back supporting the weekly bike meets, numerous members have already said they will be attending the weekend festival as well.
