This week has been one of wind, rain & sunshine pretty much your traditional south west weather forecast then.

With the weather we have been having I wasn't sure if I was going to have much to write about, thinking back over my week it's been quite a busy one with work and working in the background with the website.

Due to the weather I used the car for work a couple of times, I don't mind riding in the rain I have found that the skin is pretty water proof and soon drys off, although it is far nicer when it keeps dry. But when the forecast is for strong wind I will take the safe option of the car.

Although the weather forecast didn't get it quite right as I was expecting strong winds on Wednesday but they seem to have passed us by, it would have been a good day to be out on the bike.

Speaking of Wednesday it was slightly unusual as I was asked to step in for the official photographer at work which I happily did I used my own camera and checked everything over before setting off with a couple of memory cards just incase.

The rest of the week was pretty standard along with testing out a new piece of software for the articles on the website and finding it is still a long way off being production ready. Will be glad when the new software is ready as it has lots of good features for the sysadmin.

Saturday I got to escape from the keyboard having had the call handler phone to offer me a job. Plymouth to Okehampton hospital to RD&E hospital then back home. It was a great day for a ride and having arrived at Okehampton I was asked if I would wait for another consignment.

I happily said yes and was offered a coffee, which I took outside and drank in the sunshine, before long the extra consignment was ready and I was able to head off on the bike to RD&E. I was quite happy when I arrived at the RD&E that I was able to find my destination without a problem from memory. It's been a while since I last had a delivery to the path labs there.

This rounds me off to tomorrow! Sunday I am going to be heading out with the Plymouth IAM group on the monthly half day ride. I haven't seen what the route is yet but we tend to find some great roads around Devon and Cornwall.
