Shortly before 20:00hrs, I received a call from Neil warning me that a call had come in and that he wasn't available - so to expect imminent contact from Shelley. I waited with baited breath and prepared my bike and gear, just in case.
The job appeared on the forum and I jumped on it straight away (clearly very keen!). Within minutes I was on the A386 southbound heading for the MAU in Derriford, the damp weather slowing my progress slightly, but not significantly. As Derriford is only 10 minutes from home, this was the ideal start for me.
The run itself was only a couple of miles, but a really rewarding experience. It felt great to know that I was making a difference.
Now looking forward to the next, hoping that we get more jobs from Derriford and shopping for spotlights for my bike to improve my night-time visibility.
Ride safe everyone.
