A bitterly hectic day in the Devon Freewheelers office was instantly sweetened today when the Finance Director of the Freelance Coach Drivers Team Limited, Charlie Haggerty; walked into the DFW office with a £1,000 presentation cheque and a big smile on his face.

The Freelance Team are the largest driving agency in the country who supply the passenger industry with over 300 drivers a day on international operations........

"It's been a fantastic year for Freelance and as we have just completed a very successful End of Year, so we decided that we should share some of it with the emergency bikers from Devon Freewheelers. It gives us great pleasure to be able to donate this money" says Charlie Haggerty, Finance Director. The Freelance Coach Drivers Team Limited based at the Matford Business Centre in Exeter supply coach drivers to all of the respectable top flite operators in the UK and Ireland, travelling all over the world on international tour operations. Their business is going from strength to strength and currently have a countrywide recruitment drive on - so if you have a coach licence going spare - click here!

It couldn't have come at a better time for DFW as the end of another very stressful month closes in and funding is at a critically low level. 'It costs us £15k a year to keep each bike on the road, and I'll admit - it is extremely difficult. All of our volunteers are constantly looking for ways to fund raise and to have a company like Freelance turn up unannounced and hand over this huge amount of money is truly an answer to my prayers! It's fantastic news.' At a time when at once stage the bikes were coming off the road this month, the cloud is starting to clear and the sun is coming through.....

Update: After speaking with Dan, the Freelance team have offered to make the donation via the Charity Giving website which has just increased their donation to £1,280.00!! On behalf of everyone at Devon Freewheelers EVS and all of those we serve - thanks Freelance!
